Faith as a path to freedom
We guide students to embrace their spiritual identity through a deepening relationship with Christ — a sense of purpose and liberation that anchors their lives.
Honduras faces real challenges in accessing quality education: limited resources, family and home instability, and high dropout rates all perpetuate economic disparity.
And yet — those same unforgiving circumstances often produce a relentless determination to survive and a hunger to thrive. A mindset ready to make the most of any opportunity that finally shows up.
We exist as a source of opportunity.
To empower Honduran students to break the cycle of poverty and emigration through faith-based education, holistic support, and community engagement. By providing tailored scholarships, spiritual mentorship, and emotional care, we foster academic success, personal growth, and a commitment to thriving in their home communities.
A vibrant, empowered Honduran community where every student has access to transformative education — enabling them to realize their God-given potential, contribute to their society, and build brighter futures at home.

Hope Scholars is led on the ground in Honduras — applicants are vetted personally, schools are visited, and every scholar is walked with from their first semester to graduation day.
There is no overhead office and no glossy fundraising pipeline — just careful stewardship of a small fund that does an unusual amount of good, and quiet attention to the students whose perseverance makes it possible.
We provide funding for both direct and indirect costs of education — tuition, books, fees, transportation, uniforms, the small line items that quietly disrupt a school year.
We also work closely with each scholar and their family to set and pursue academic and spiritual goals. Our Christian coaching and discipleship framework strengthens scholars' identities and connects them with local church communities — a comprehensive approach that helps students mature and succeed.
We began in 2023 with a single student. Today we support six full-time scholars and a part-time bookkeeper. Requests from additional communities keep arriving — and they fuel our conviction to keep going.
In the coming year we plan to extend the program to high school scholars alongside university students, hire a local director, and match volunteer church mentors — both men and women — with each scholar. A stacked three-year funding plan will let us gradually shift from grant support to a steady donor base.
Transparency and stewardship are core to how we operate. We document academic progress and personal development for each scholar — while protecting their confidentiality — and report back to donors on the impact of every gift.
