Students in Honduras who have finished (or are finishing) high school, who demonstrate real financial need, and who are ready to commit to a university or technical program. Academic promise matters, but character, perseverance, and a willingness to partner with us matter just as much.

Awards vary by student and program. A scholarship typically helps with tuition, books, fees, and transportation. No one receives a completely free ride — every student contributes something, because partnership protects dignity.

Your most recent transcript or grade report, an identity document, a photo, and — if you already have one — your university acceptance letter. You can upload these directly in the application form.

We review applications as they arrive and follow up by email or WhatsApp. If we need more information or want to schedule a conversation, we will contact you using the details you provide.

Yes. If you are a minor, we will ask for a parent or guardian's name and email so they can review and sign the scholarship agreement with you.

You can still apply. Tell us where you are in your program and what stands between you and finishing. Several of our students came to us mid-degree.

Keep your grades up, submit a short progress update and your receipts each month, stay in contact with your mentor, and let us know early when something is going wrong. We would much rather help than be surprised.

Receipts let us show donors exactly where their giving goes, and they help you build the habit of tracking your own educational spending. You upload them from your private student link — it takes a couple of minutes.

Yes. Every award comes with one-to-one mentorship. You also have access to the student portal, with courses, wellbeing check-ins, and the ability to book time with our team.

Tell us. Illness, family emergencies, a change of program — these are normal parts of life. We work with students through hard seasons rather than dropping them at the first difficulty.

Yes. Hope Scholars Honduras is a registered nonprofit. You receive an emailed receipt for each gift and an official acknowledgement of your annual total at the end of the year.

The large majority of every dollar goes directly to student scholarships. Our current figure is published on the home page and in the donor portal, along with our financial reports.

Yes, and monthly giving is what we need most. Monthly gifts let us commit to a student for a full academic year instead of hoping the funding arrives.

Donors get access to a private donor portal with scholar progress updates, quarterly financial reports, and our compliance documents.
